    Hello Mr Brinkman,
I am interested in playing your music for my pleinair painting exhibit in a few months. I was so inspired by your rapping concert I heard late last night on wpkn radio that I feel I have found what I want my audience to hear while they view my work. It is work that I have been building since 2008 just before I moved to Taos, New Mexico. The work is nuanced in the sense that it exists strictly as visions of the land: raw, real and a bit less idealized than what most other pleinair artists do. (I have a strong education and background in art history). But is very visceral and sort of apparently “hard won” in its rough, but detailed approach… nothing cutesy in it…..but in spite of its adroit representational spirit, it still insists on the viewers participation. These works of which I speak have never been shown; at least widely or collectively. The strength of their presentation is supported by their collective presentation.
I don’t currently have a website, as I refuse to post my images online; I will price them but perhaps not to sell…my dream since the gitgo has been to “pull the joy of the raw beauty of the land out of my viewers, to beg the question, “What if climate change is real?”….”will you miss the joys of these visions?” This is why I want to use your music – because my work is candid, innocent; your music will ” bring it home”
Please don’t say no before you see my work. I will travel to show you, I currently live in West Haven. FYI, my house here is currently listed on Airbnb.
    Sincerely,
    Betsy Sloan
